Wellington library reopening day 2026.

This one didn’t immediately make the cut, but having spent some time playing around with it and trying to figure out what it means and decided I’m quite fond of it.

I think it captures the return of life in the new space. It was quite funny being in a place generally regarded for its quiet and calm, having then been overrun with noise and chaos.

The man on the right seems to be watching it all unfold before him, and I quite like the contrast he brings to the frame in comparison to the other people around. Shooting at a slightly slower shutter speed adds some movement and makes him seem like an observer of the scene.
