Mākara
A nice sunny afternoon encouraged a walk up a hill; the Mākara car park was full on this glorious Sunday, and we joined many others out for a stroll. This shot looks back from the start of the climb to the main car park. Many people were fishing or taking boats out, sitting on the beach and generally just enjoying a well overdue rare windless day. About an hour from the car park at the top WWII bunkers overlook the South Island and East Coast. along with views of the Wellington wind turbine network.
