Lambton Quay on a Saturday is usually crowded with people; it’s almost hard to keep up. Either stick to the fast lane or step aside, filled with shoppers and people on a mission, it’s easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle or feel like you’re a few seconds behind the world. This photo almost captures the contrary, someone who has left the inner city time zone entirely and is happy just following their schedule. I like how, without a genuine effort to turn the subject into a subject, him not moving in contrast to the passerby’s has achieved a sense of calm amongst the chaos.
